Peskypescado, what is VMC? Is it Vista Media Center?
What was your problem to setup? Please let me know, maybe we can solve this problem together :-)

Is there a way to adjust the brightness / contrast output of the AVerTV Combo PCI-E analog tuner in Vista Media Center?Live TV from this tuner is very bright compared to other video playback on the computer; such as DVD and recored TV from my other computer.I am able to adjust the video output on my ATI video card but then Live TV looks OK but everything else is dark; DVD's and other video. Is there software or registry changes that can be used to adjust the video output of this tuner card?
An old ATI 550 tuner card had a seperate control panel that allowed adjustment of the tuner. This kind of utility would be great.

MrNeutrino:Poddie, MitchSchaft, why don't the two of you take a few moments away from being hypocrites and stereotyping all forum posters, and scan through some of my earlier posts? I've not only been through all possible steps and options to resolve my issue on my own, I've also gone through their customer support with more disconnects than answers. If Felix claims to be an Avermedia representative, is proactively willing to help and clarify nuances about this product and makes certain claims without backing them with data, you may want to sit tight - I don't see the need to. You seem flabbergasted by my use of bold and red. You however are completely ignorant (or choose to be) about how long since he hasn't replied. I appreciate his responses in the first place, I know I can't make him reply and I also fully understand if he can't run the experiment he suggested he'd try based on my earlier response (of course, you'd have known that IF you took the time to read my earlier posts). However, if you associate your name next to a company as a rep., provide some responses, and mysteriously disappear for months in the face of an open issues and discrepancies that someone brings forth with sufficient details to back them up, you better expect the inquirer to make that issue more visible. As for your narrow-minded views about how forums across the internet should operate: forums ARE for getting as well as providing help. If you don't want to help, move along. Don't criticize those that are going through the proper channels with your stereotypes. That's right, there is ABSOLUTELY nothig wrong with using forums to solve problems AND conversely, also help others when you can - I've done both... more than I can say for the two of you in this case.
milkman.dan:Hi, I just purchased one of these cards, and was under the impression that I could tune two NTSC channels through the one coaxial port on the card marked "TV In." This is how my nVidia DualTV card worked, for instance. Is this not the case on this card? If so, what is the point of having the second port for OTA HD when I would have to swap cables in order to tune/record two NTSC channels at the same time?
For the most part, this is a great thread. I have two of these cards and quite like them, and I follow this thread with interest on an ongoing basis.
That being said, I'm finding myself distracted by posts like the following:
MitchSchaft:The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problemhttp://encyclopediadramatica.com/images/thumb/0/0e/Itg_quarterly.jpg/416px-Itg_quarterly.jpg
MrNeutrino:Give that advice to yourself before preaching to others.
Can I suggest that you guys take this frouhaha elsewhere? It's really not contributing anything to this thread or the forum in general (pardon me mods if I'm stepping on any toes) - I come here for Media Center-based information and discussions, not petty bickering.
Thanks,
g.
MrNeutreno, just wanted to let you know I appreciate your last response, which was much calmer and well explained.
I will also admit I had forgotten that Felix actually started this thread (long ago), which is a good point as to why to continue to seek his help here.
Although I stand by my biggest gripe about the post not being appropriate, it would seem it was just a passing bad mood. :)
Thanks!
