SinCast from Sinderon.com is an IP-based software solution that uses UDP multi-unicast to distribute audio or video content to multiple "zones" simultaneously. SinCast uses VLC as a distribution engine and listener client, and supports any A/V format that VLC can successfully mux into MPEG-TS. SinCast offers some great features including Automatic Media Path analysis, Command Line mode, and Simulcast Groups.

Hi,
Thanks to all that sent emails. Most of the questions were about whether or not a WMC version of SinCast would be developed.
That would be a great project and may be technically possible but I'm not sure how certain unique capabilities of VLC could be reflected in WMC. For example VLC multi-instance. This allows one PC to run multiple simulcasts each using a different A/V source, and each with its own media/playlist navigation and control UI.
One of the other questions that was asked was about audio out-of-sync when simulcasting recorded tv (dvr-ms) files. The FAQ on the Software page explains how to correct this, and we are working on a way to automatically detect and correct this.
Regards,
