Hey guys,
Apple finally approved my iPhone app. It's basically an app that allows you to use your iPhone or iPod Touch as a remote control for (Vista/Windows7)Media Center. You can get all the bits here: http://kumatek.com/NControl.html
The plugin works on Vista and Windows7, 32 and 64 bit, directly and through extenders.
I hope you enjoy it!!!

Looks great! Is it just me or are there a few videos (i only see two) that aren't showing up? I want to see it in action!
Next stop: Port it to ZuneHD (when they announce the apps store, of course!

All that I'm able to view is 'recorded tv' list, the other icons leave me with a blank page. Any idea why I can't get any other lists?
Seems pretty cool otherwise, I like the concept.
mikinho - I'm curious what you're using.
reggieq,
Great looking app. I'm having an issue with mine though.
My setup: Windows 7 x64, iphone 3GS 32GB, 2 Xbox 360 Extenders.
I do not have the firewall enabled on my media center. I've installed the plugin on the server and rebooted but my iphone (on wifi) never finds the Media Center. Is there a service that this runs as or anything I can do to help troubleshoot? I do see ncontrol in my "extras settings" but no actual menu item for it.
This does not seem to work on Windows Vista with the TV Pack installed. Meida Center says it it unable to launch the plug-in.
It looks like a few people are having some problems with the plugin. I will start an FAQ on the NControl website to address some of these issues. For some of the tougher bugs, I may need some of your help to track them down. Thanks for being patient.
laakness,
Try the following
1) Make sure the iphone and the mediacenter is on the same subnet.
2)Try resetting the firewall entry in Windows 7. Go To Windows Firewall->Allow a program or feature through Windows Firewall->click on Media Center Extensibility Host->click Remove->click OK->Launch Media Center->wait for Windows Security Alert to come up->click Allow access.
Let me know if the problem still persists.
Everything on my network is on the same subnet. All servers are static and wireless has a DHCP pool of 10 addresses but all are 192.168.1.* with a 255.255.255.0 mask.
I went under the firewall and there is no entry for Media Center Extensibility Host. This may be part of the issue. I uninstalled the application and reinstalled but I never get a security warning.
I upgraded Flash and the photos still don't load. Three of the images say "Get Adobe Flash Player" the rest of the images load fine.
