Read your site, good read.  Thanks for the work you put into it.

Wow, thanks for making that site.  I have been doing a lot of research in preparing to build my HTPC.  This puts all the info in one place and is well organized.  I'm sure some of the tips will come in handy as well.  Nice work!

Great site, I read through all of it and with be setting up my commercial skipping soon. One thing that I might suggest under advantages is packaging. When I first bought my pc with a tuner card, I lived in a small place and didn't have room for a stereo, dvd player, computer, tv, & game console. I was in college and needed a desk to fit in my small area with a bed. From there I've expanded.

My HTPC started as a dual core Intel 1.8Ghz Dell Inspiron 530 that I added Windows 7 (32-bit), 4GB of RAM (3.25 using), 1GB GeForce 9800GT (HDMI), Hauppauge HVR-1600 (only using ClearQAM), ATI 650 (only using ClearQAM), and a 2TB Hitachi simpledrive. Being watched on a LG 27" LCD monitor.

Great point about the all in one package, I'll be adding something like that to the site soon!

I have already sent a few people your way. HTBananas.com, MissingRemote etc are usually a bit to advanced for some people. I am glad the last friend built his own PC instead of asking me to write down a shopping list.
