It's in the market place now, looks great for a version 1..  We can't get mango fast enough... this will rock when sql is available.  Keep up the great work.

I've just tried installing on two Media Centres with the hub on my WHS v1 machine.  The Media Centre installations (x64) go well, but the WHS (x86) fails with a generic error in the installer.  The only details I can find are in the event log:

Windows Installer installed the product. Product Name: Meteor. Product Version: 1.0.0.0. Product Language: 1033. Installation success or error status: 1603.

I was folling the instructions on the multi-pc guide, but it might be the case that the product won't work as a hub on WHS v1.  If this is the case, please can you confirm?

After a quick chat with Advent, it seems as though Meteor won't install on windows home server because it doesn't have the right utility for making http namespace reservations. Supposedly it's too old, so we're going to look into that and see what we can do. If I remember correctly, Advent also has a WHS that hosts some of his media, so it's something he's pretty interested in :)

I'm going to update the FAQ on the site about this, because I'm sure you're not the only one who'd want this information.

Thanks Ben (and Advent).  I've installed the hub on a most-likely-to-be-on media centre and I've got two of my machines working from it brilliantly - great work on the app!

I do have an issue with one client machine - I've emailed the log to your support email address.

No problems dduk, we're looking into it now and should hopefully have a fix ready to go sometime in the next week as we've had a few reports of a similar issue. Advent has completed the initial work on installing Meteor on WHS and now we just need to figure out how to test it properly hehe :)

Excellent news, Ben.   I didn't expect a fix for WHS, in fact I've already started the ball rolling on a WHS 2011 build!

The transport controls would disappear when your phone got the live tile bug where the registry becomes full up and doesn't removed unused application entries:

I had to hard reset my phone to clear the registry and to get it to work properly. May help someone with similar problems.

Be warned 'hard reset' clears out your Harbor Master cargo total!
