Cannon PC www.cannonpc.com now has the Ceton card for $399, with a March 31st availability, posted on their site.
Yeah there reporting "Out of Stock" already also when you click the Buy Now button.
Argh - so close, and yet so far!!!!!
At the least this shows as a good sign that Ceton is getting those OEM partners, which will be better for us in availability and support in the long run. Glad to hear that they are moving along!
Yes, this is why I posted it. It is real. Ceton is getting partners and we are actually going to be able to get it. As far as I know, no other partner has yet announced intended availability
anybody know what the cable company's charge for the cards these days ? $7 for first device etc...
It totally depends on your cable company and the region you are in. Where I live (Utah), Comcast told me they charge $1.79/month per card. But it definitely varies based on your provider and where you live.

BTW, Cannon calls it the "CETON Quad Digital Cable Tuner". Did Ceton decide to abandon their naming contest?

You read my mind.
I was thinking the same thing...although a naming scheme for something like this isnt going to make it more instantly recognizable to a general public, as I believe was the intent. On another note. My cable company (Charter) charges a $2.00 fee for each cable card and an additional $5.00 for the access to the HD channels via CC....so to be honest it isnt much cheaper for me than the "free" cable box/dvr. Gotta love that!
Fios charges $4/month for the card. Fios charges $15.99/month for a regular HDDVR. Just got my first card two days ago. Installer took pictures of win7mce because he never seen it before. Can't wait till this thing comes out, but I'm also worried too because I want AEP2.0. Would be nice if they could bundle that with the tuner for a price.
The product page is still there:
