Just got off the phone with Verizon FIOS. The current Westel router does not support UPnP. They said they just start rolling out the new Actiontec router that would solve my issue. Also called Actiontec and confirmed.
Verizon said currently only available on the East Coast. Rolling out East to West. Available to everyone by the end of October 2010.

Do you have to pay to get it switched out? I have a very old Actiontec router over 3 years old.
the Westell does support upnp. and the G probably won't be out for another month.
