This is a post to the Logitech Forums using the above original thread topic. Can any Logitech Harmony 700 users shed some light on why this absolutely frustrating issue is happening?

I have same problem - Harmony 700. Have a  MediaCtr TV customized activity and MC is set to TV, and it goes to recorded TV. So I added an input to MCE named LiveTV, picked the LiveTV command, and then set the activity to use the LiveTV command when I press the MediaCtr TV activity - it STILL only goes to LiveTV if I do the acvitivity TWICE or RANDOMLY depending where I might be in Media Center! If im in any other media center activity, and press LiveTV, it goes right to LiveTV! **bleep** this is frustrating. Another irritant is my MediaCtr Videos activity which explicitly says to use the Videos input of the MCE does NOTHING! BUT, if I press Videos from within ANY Media Center activity, it goes right to my video listings. GRRRRRR Logitech!

You might want to look at this.  It has worked for me.  I want my TV in the den to start up in recorded tv when I go to the media center activity (Harmony One remote).  This is apparently the default and that's good.  I wanted the TV in the bedroom to start up in Live TV.  The link below has a startup program that changes MCE start up to Live TV,  Give it a try and see if it solves your problem.  Mike, the author, is a great source of info if it doesn't work.

    Good Luck!
