NoSh2:When scanning for QAM channels MC finds only a few channels. This is because the channel to frequency mapping is for US and I'm in EU, so there are only stations found on channels that have (nearly) the same frequency as in US. I have tried the workaround with HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\TV System Services\TVAutoTune\TSxx-y with xx 0 or 49 (for germany) and y 0 to 8 (0 antenna, 1 cable and 2 - 8 because I don't know which QAM is) but no success. So how is the right method to change the Channel to Frequency mapping for QAM?
Mr. Headend:...Answer "no" and select the correct region. That should fix the channel problems. I hope this helps!
Mr. Headend:and select the correct region.
Because I'm living in germany, I have choosen region germany. After your suggestion I have tried another region "United Kingdom" (out of 262 regions), but after a 2 hours channel search I got the same result.
Mr. Headend:, in the US channels are 6 MHz and in the EU they are (mostly) 8 MHz.
Thats the problem, we have 8 MHz channels. I need the following frequencies:
113 MHz // 64 QAM 121 MHz // 64 QAM 346 MHz // 256 QAM 354 MHz // 256 QAM 362 MHz // 256 QAM 370 MHz // 256 QAM 402 MHz // 256 QAM 466 MHz // 256 QAM 634 MHz // 256 QAM 642 MHz // 256 QAM 650 MHz // 256 QAM 658 MHz // 256 QAM 666 MHz // 256 QAM 682 MHz // 256 QAM 690 MHz // 256 QAM 698 MHz // 64 QAM 706 MHz // 64 QAM 714 MHz // 64 QAM 722 MHz // 64 QAM 730 MHz // 64 QAM 738 MHz // 64 QAM 746 MHz // 64 QAM 754 MHz // 64 QAM 762 MHz // 64 QAM 770 MHz // 64 QAM 778 MHz // 64 QAM 786 MHz // 64 QAM 794 MHz // 64 QAM 802 MHz // 64 QAM
Frequencies are from the KabelBW service page:

Are there any other solutions for the 8 MHz channel subdivision?

mediamc:Hi Mr. Headend, as others already mentioned: Settings with other regions than "Germany" won't work. Any new ideas? Maybe there's a config file to edit? Thx
bjdraw:Use the "add missing channel" option in settings.
Isn't there any new idea?
Where is the frequency list stored? In the new epg database (With Vista MC it was posible to hack the frequencies)? If so is there are description of the db? I read some post of manipulating the db with a commandline tool and xml files.

No need to hack anything, just use the add missing channel option under setting. You can get the list of frequencies in your area on the HDHomeRun site.

If you don't want to use the MC UI to enter them one by one, then try Guide Tool, which will pull the same data from the HDHomeRun site automatically.
