I was under the impression that windows media center and windows media player share the same database, but apparently not. I have a large MP3 collection in "My Music", and have assigned correct album info and details to each track in Windows Media Player (WMP). The library looks great, and has all the correct album art, in WMP. However, in media center (WMC), the album art is (mostly) incorrect. Here's what I've tried so far:
Can anyone here help?
Thanks in advance,
MW
Have you deleted the files in the Art Cache folders.
There are two folders you need to clear out:
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Media Player (Delete the contents of the Art Cache folder)
C\Users\usermane\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Ehome (Delete the contents of the Art Cache folder)
That worked, thanks!
You'd probably be better served in the future embedding your album art so you're not at the whim of the 'auto update' options in WMP, Zune, etc.. they should always respect the embedded art when displaying.
work x86 and x64 clean wmp 12 database and album art and resets wmp 12 to back to unused state http://www.box.net/shared/ixmqo2695zEver cleaned out the music library, removed some albums or updated album art only to find that Windows 7 Media Center is still using the old album art in various places throughout the program? It’s a common problem due to the fact that Media Center utilizes an album art cache that is rarely (if ever) checked for consistency. This means that even after you’ve put all that working into cleaning up tags and album art or downloading high resolution covers Media Center will ignore the fruits of your labor. Let’s take a look a rectifying the problem. Use this tool To fix it this is finished if you encounter any bug please pm me and i'll work on it you have to run as admin, media sharing have to be turned off and we are working on many projects to make life just a lil bit easier
