I was under the impression that windows media center and windows media player share the same database, but apparently not. I have a large MP3 collection in "My Music", and have assigned correct album info and details to each track in Windows Media Player (WMP). The library looks great, and has all the correct album art, in WMP. However, in media center (WMC), the album art is (mostly) incorrect. Here's what I've tried so far:

• Restarting the PC
• Using the "Apply media information changes" link in WMP
• Removing the Music folder from the music library (effectively emptying the library), restarting and then re-adding the folder. Again WMP shows all the right data, WMC still shows the incorrect album art
• Deleting all the hidden Album Art files from my music folders, and re-creating the entire album art library
• Removing all album art embedded inside the MP3 files
  
• Googling. Apparently other people have had the same problem, but I found no solutions

Can anyone here help?

Have you deleted the files in the Art Cache folders.

There are two folders you need to clear out:

C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Media Player  (Delete the contents of the Art Cache folder)

C\Users\usermane\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Ehome (Delete the contents of the Art Cache folder)

You'd probably be better served in the future embedding your album art so you're not at the whim of the 'auto update' options in WMP, Zune, etc.. they should always respect the embedded art when displaying.
