Hi all,
I don't know if it is possible what I want to do: I have 2 different machines running Windows 7 MC, but only one has access to a TV Tuner. I am able to see the recordings on both machines, but I cannot schedule them on the machine without the tuner, nor see what has been scheduled for recording on the other machine. I want to be able to schedule recordings from both machines, but the actual recording to be done only on one, so basically linking somehow the guide and the recording feature. Is this possible? Or do you know any third-party tools that can do this for the 7MC?
Thank you!
I'm working on this right now; a Windows Home Server-based solution is currently in beta (take a look at http://remotewizard.net/RemoteWizardBeta.aspx for more information), but the same basic code can be used to remotely manage scheduled recordings across multiple machines. I hope to have an XMLTV-based EPG available as an add-on in the near future.
Are both of your systems on the same network, or would you need to control the system with the tuner via the Internet?
You could try Recording Broker from Andy VT.

There are .zip files embedded in a couple of Andy's posts in the link I gave. Scroll down the page about half way.
I've just downloaded the x64 version without issue. There is an msi in the zip file. Don't think it'll install on work's XP Pro machine though. :(
