OK I just went thru 148 pages and can find no one else who has mentioned this problem.

    Windows Media Player 12.

I had to move my music files to another location after uploading to media player.

I removed all the music files from Media Player after they were moved and uploaded again from the new location.

The Problem is that Media Player is now showing Duplicate Playlist, none of which can be deleted. The playlist have no songs in them, and if you click to show file location, they do nothing. If I try to delete them they won't delete.

I have searched the web and all the media player forums I can find and can not find any answers as to how to remove the (GHOST) playlist

Any and all suggestions would be helpful.

     Thanks

    Tony.

JUST IN CASE  SOMEONE ELSE HAS THIS PROBLEM HERE IS THE FIX

You may try clearing the Windows Media Player database. To do this, follow these steps:
       1. Exit Windows Media Player.
       2. Click Start, click Run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player, and then click OK.
       3. Select all the files in the folder, and then click Delete on the File menu.
Note: You do not have to delete the folders that are in this folder.
       4. Restart Windows Media Player. Note: Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.   If this does not resolve the problem, then try clearing the Windows Media Player database cache files. To do this, follow these steps:
       1. Exit Windows Media Player.
       2. Click Start, click Run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft, and then click OK.
       3. Select the Media Player folder, and then click Delete on the File menu.
       4. Restart Windows Media Player.
