Hi Alban,
Thanks for this - happy to donate. Similar to a previous comment, it ain't much but should be enough for a beer
Tim
Have a beer on me.
Many thanks for your work on this.
Small donation from me pal, maybe a bigger one if you could create a satellite scanning tool to use instead of m$ crap attempt (cheeky??)
You're right - that means they are only getting the now next from the TV stream, not getting the main guide. I had two ITV London's when I did this, one of which had no guide being downloaded so I copied the guide form the other one. Can't help with the BBC HD issue, tho
diggedydogJust downloaded latest version - ran it on my Windows 7 MC (with Hauppauge satelite card for Freesat and HD HomeRun for Freeview) and it worked perfectly .. so a fiver donated. This problem was driving me mad and Microsofts response smells. Top Geezer - thanks very much .. worth every pennt. (just a bit of a suggestion .. the app never really told me that it had finished .. so I sat like an idiot for 5 minutes gazing at the screen wondering whether to quit/run Media Centre etc etc .... some sort of Pop Up saying stuff along the lines of "Congratulations .. you can now watch ITV HD on Channel 119" might help Mac users (with little experience of WIndows other than MCE) like me! Also, whilst typing .. ITVHD and BBCHD only ever show me now/next guide data (and I only get this if I tune in to the channel first. Both are linked to the correct guide (I think - BBC HD and ITV London) but both behave in this way .. almost as if the guide info is coming from the broadcaster (freesat) and not being downloaded (as is the case with all my Freeview channels)... anyone got any thoughts about this .. or, if off topic, anyone point me to the right topic? Thanks again Alban - top program!
Use Guidetool to map channels to guide data.
In guidetool on lineups select Sky Digital BBC/ITV, map ITV1 HD to ITV London & BBC HD to BBC HD. This should give you full listings.
Just wanted to say thanks for the ITVHD app, works like a treat.
Whilst youre fixing up Microsoft products any chance of a 7MC being able to play blu-ray and natively play iplayer without hulu, then it would be almost perfect!
sedum I too would like to thank Alban for sorting this problem. However, I have two tuners in my setup, a Technisat Skystar HD & a Skystar HD 2. To get them to work on Win7MCE I have had to install different drivers. Using each tuner by itself, GimmeITV1HD.exe works fine & I can now get ITV1 HD. But it's when both tuners are working together that I get the following message. "Sorry, your system does not meet criteria to be updated. See log for details." Object store c:\programdata\microsoft\ehome\mcepg2-1.db opened Performing Pre-Checks Finding enabled devices Looking for devices * TechniSat Mantis DVBS BDA Receiver * ASTRA 2A-B-D (28.2E), EUROBIRD 1 (28.5E) * TechnoTrend BDA/DVB-S Tuner * ASTRA 2A-B-D (28.2E), EUROBIRD 1 (28.5E) # Devices have different scanned lineups Can anybody help here please.

Ok, and for every on else who has this problem - I am looking into this.
This issue is this. In order to add the channel it has to work out which lineup corresponds to scanned satellite channels. On multi tuner systems it expects the scanned lineup to be the same on all tuners of the same type. On your system this is not the case, so it doesn't know which lineup to add the channel to. I am developing a diagnostics tool to examine these setups to determine a way of getting the lineup correct. Another user has the issue that it cannot determine the satellite of the second tuner so skips it (the channel works fine on the other tuner).
Please send me an email using the contact link if you have this type of problem, and I will send you the diagnostics tool when I have it ready.
Please be patient as I have limited time to devote to this

I have, for some time, been experiencing considerable difficulty in setting up Live TV within 7MCE, whether I use MCE alone, DVBViewer or DVBLink/TVServer. Basicall all I really want are FTA HD channels. I have a Hauppauge NOVA HD S2 card.
If I use 7MCE on its own I am continually advised that 'no channel available' on many stations and certainly cant get BBC2. although thats no a problem of course as I only want HD channels.
I have followed TWOTONE's setup procedure and contrary to what is shown in the postings, I dont get all the channels as listed by Twotone (I also live in the Meridian area) and certainly don't get Luxe/HD.
I am beginning to lose the will to live and am seriously considering investing in SkyHD and use my HTPC for just Movies/TVSeries/Music.
Obviously I must be doing something wrong and really would appreciate any guidance on this.
Did you apply the Microsoft hotfix? That's mostly sorted my no tuner available messages.
Have you tested signal strength? I know it's an obvious question.
Are you sure the problem is with Windows Media Center?
First thing I would do is install and test the tuner using the software supplied with the card.
If this works OK, then look for problems with Media Center.
If not then look for problems with your satellite instalation, or tuner card.
regards
Peter
This is not working for me.The log is as follows.
Object store c:\programdata\microsoft\ehome\mcepg2-0.db openedPerforming Pre-ChecksFinding enabled devicesLooking for devices*VideoMate DVB-S DVBS Tuner # LNB doesn't have a satellite - Skipping # Unable to determine lineup
Timestamp of GimmeITVHD.exe is 22/04/2010 22.54. Running Windows 7 Professional.
I have tried rescanning but still no joy. All the other channels work fine in win7 media center, including BBC HD.
Any Ideas?
