Well don't think Microsoft actually care, i see the original post was 18 months ago and MSN Video Player STILL has the same issue on my brand new Dell which sucks BIG TIME!
Read on a different thread to uninstall Silverlight, internet tv and media centre, did all that, then manually removed from registry as instructed, after loads of f*#@ing around still didn't work! Typically Microsoft don't care, don't support so i don't use, plenty of other internet tv services that work without issues, so bye bye media centre, uninstalled...

Just had to reply.... got it working in a fashion ... tried playing a doctor who episode the normal way via the gui.. got the error message.. went into msn video search and searched for doctor who,clicked on the one that didnt play and what you know no error message... go figure!!
out of curiousity do you guys use shark007 codec pack??
