Hi! Media Center 7 records tv into wtv format. Is it possible to change that and record directly to wmv?

No it is not. The best you can do is use a product like DVRMSToolbox to detect new recordings and convert after the fact.

Or do the same with TV Archiving if you have a Windows Home Server.
