My System Specs
Well i've upgraded 3 of 4 win7 systems to sp1 ( i bought a netbook with Windows Starter )
I applied patch on my 7Ult system and 1 of the 7HP systems . no probs..
the Patch says Windows Starter is unsupported...:(
Ive not upgraded that last 7HP yet because I am Still Hoping Cocoa updates his Remote Aero Glass and Remote Audio patch instructions for SP1.......
ummm, on the one 7HP system i did not upgrade to SP1, Remote Aero Glass has stopped working! Looks like something else from April's Patch Tues removed cocoa's patches ???????????
guess there is no point now to not upgrade it to SP1 :(
Downloaded yesterday for Win7 Home Premium RTM 64bits, launched, clicked, enjoyed ! Great ease of use by the way !
Thanks a lot !
Hey, I'm trying to connect to a remote windows 7 home prem laptop with another laptop with same OS.
The remote laptop does not have a logon password, and when I put in the username and nothing for the password it says that the credentials are incorrect. What do I do?
I have downloaded the latest patch to put on my Windows 7 Home Premium running laptop and patched. When I go to My Computer--->Remote Settings, none of the setting options have changed to allow me to enable the server. I did reboot after the patch as well. Is there something obvious I am missing?

The site says to d/i Win7RDP but there is no link. Searched for Win7RDP and the one I d/l says it is not for my build. Says it is only for Windows 7 Build 7600.
I got it...TOTALLY missed the part about needing to register at the site to see what to d/l.

How does one remove/revert rdp back to prior?
Is there a way to disable rdp after install?
I ran untermensch's executable. This is very nice, thank you! This will definitely improve the WAF... now I can tinker without disturbing TV viewing in the living room! Woo hoo!
However, on a side note... I tried watching a video in Media Center via the remote desktop session. Media Center displays a message that it cannot play video in a Remote Desktop session.
If someone could modify an executable or DLL in Media Center to allow this behavior, we would have the equivalent of "softsled". Anyone up to the challenge?

I applied this patch to my W7 Home Premium a couple years ago and it worked fine until yesterday when I installed SP1 and RDP stopped working. I tried applying the patch again, but get the error message "termsrv.dll has an unknown checksum". Is there a concise procedure to correct this? Would it work if I get a copy of termsrv.dll from another PC and apply the patch. Thanks for your help.
Delete the termsrv.dll.bak file. Get the RDP patch for SP1 at The Missing Remote. You can't use the old patch on sp1.
Very concise and effective. Thank you and all who worked on this.
