Hi,
I am running 3 separate Winows 7 Media Center Edition PCs (one 5 year old desktop using the Win 7 Release candidate build 7100, will upgrade shortly), one lap top and one nettop.
I tend to do all of my recording loaclly on the nettop (Asrock) and then move my recordings to a NAS (LaCie NetworkSpace).
Acsessing and building video libraries from the NAS works fine from the lap top and the net top, it takes ages however from the desk top. I am using mapped newtork drives in each case
Is there some bast practice docuements about how best to set this up for speed in creating a library? Is there a way of caching the images on the video libray when the NAS is turned off. Does having seveal mapped network drives pointing to the sama NAS, for example from the desk top , create problems?
Thanks
Sean
