27 minute video...
Very cool. Add an app store, and Ceton has it nailed as far a consumer whole-home systems go.
I was just coming here to post the same thing. I am so damn excited about this. They nailed just about everything. Hopefully the remotes are solid and they release some kind of App Store.
Heck-- I'm just happy about the new extender! If I were building a new mediacenter for a friend, I'd think really hard about the Q. But for my existing setup, if the price is right, I'd love to throw a couple more extenders out there w/o having to buy more xboxes!
Matt O. ...tivo what? ...dish dvr--uh... huh? ...cable dvr fees--you're kidding, right?

I also like the extender. I have two cable boxes that will go back immediately. My only issue is that leaving the extender tuned to a channel, when no one is watching the TV, eats up a tuner on my Ceton card. I may have to buy another Ceton InfiniTV4 for my HTPC to mitigate that.
I'd like to see MyMovies support, some custome configurations and an app store (as others have mentioned). But, yes, this is really damn good!
Price point???
If it works the same as other extenders then MyMovies will already work.
I am excited that Ceton is going to bring these products to market. Great work so far. My only concern is that it appears they are using a version of embedded windows. I use Zune to get my music and such. Zune does not have a 10' UI. So I would like to be able to store it on the Q like I do on my HTPC now and I use the HTPC to configure my Zune collections. Wonder if they will use the Metro UI for Zune in Windows 8 and allow for APIs so that Ceton can have it on the Q?
Any word/update yet as to product pricing & availability? I see CetonCorp website now has product information.

Would be a lot more exciting if issues with ceton infiti were corrected first with some new firmware ...... perhaps then I might get more excited about a new product.
Man--talk about a response! Everyone's builds are unique to their circumstances so going into general statements about "issues" is suspect in my opinion. Having owned them for a year and a half & built many for friends/family, I can say from my experience, I don't seem to have the same experience as yourself and are very happy with them as they are.
My Cable CO provided STB on the other-hand has been replaced three times since I've owned my Cetons and as of right now it's powered off/unplugged because it's dead again. So, for any possible issues there may be with the Ceton, I'll gladly take them over my CableCO's alternative any day of the week.
I was a great video... It's a shame that someone else beat Microsoft to the punch... I saw a video about 1 1/2 - 2 years ago of someone on the Microsoft campus using PlayTo to send video from the MC to different devices... I think the video had to do with RDP or something...
Any ways, I'm hoping that if you own a Ceton product that you can get the updated application...

Protos' post made me think of the macro-blocking issue that you have already said that you've reproduced, erkotz. He may have been talking about something else, but I have had the same thought as he has... about the "Q". I would really like to make a business out of installing the Q and Echo, but if my customers come back to me with, "Why does it have this strip of distortion across the screen every few minutes when my cable box didn't?" I don't think I would want to be associated with that product. Get it fixed.

I want to add that I think your support is top-notch, for the most part. However, now that Pam Hammer said to me on the phone that she was surprised that I get this every 10-15 minutes, other people have posted that they get it even more often than that. Now that I'm really paying attention to it... I've noticed that I sometimes get it more than once a minute. My signals are as close to 0dB as you can get... and my SNR is over 35dB. It's about as perfect as you can ask for... and I still have this problem. Maybe it's a problem with the way the cable companies encode the data, but my cable box handled it perfectly... and the people who are using the HDHomeRun Prime say that they don't have this issue either. So I think it's time that Ceton owns up to this problem and fixes it. This is not an isolated issue... and it's not something that only happens once a day or so. And, more importantly, your competition doesn't have this problem.
Honestly, I prefer having an internal card for a tuner... and I like having 4 tuners on the card instead of the HDHR's 3... but I'm about ready to ditch the Ceton card and install one or two HDHR's. FIX IT.
