'On topic' for this thread is any information pertaining to order fulfillment: when you placed an order, who with, what you have been told, and status of your order. Any other information - particularly whether you are a Microsoft employee - which might serve to position you in the list is very welcome. Please try and keep speculation to a minimum, but if you must please do identify it as such.

Reminder: because of a global parts shortage rumored to concern the DOCSIS tuning component Ceton have been compelled to build their first production run in smaller manufacturing runs than is desirable. Those manufacturing runs are divided into manufacturing batches which are air-shipped to the US where they suffer an unpredictable and hopefully short customs delay before being sub-divided into distributor batches by Ceton.
There are three authorized InfiniTV4 distributors: Zones; Cannon PC; and Fluid Digital, plus a small number of system builders offering systems with pre-installed InifiniTV4s. Ceton have committed to supply all distributors such that they will satisfy customer orders in the same approximate sequence that orders were placed regardless of which distributor the order was placed with. Coordinating that precisely is a challenge and some errors affecting people on the cusp of qualifying for a batch of cards should be anticipated. In practice this promise has worke dout reasonably well with the exception of Zones who perhaps accidentally miscommunicated the quantity of outstanding orders and were over-supplied by Ceton, allowing Zones to progress further down their list than the other distributors. That error was corrected through 4Q 2010 by withholding cards from Zones until the other distributors caught up. As we enter 2011 all distributors are approximately level and all are expected to ship in concert going forward.
Separately, Zones is also the distributor for an early-access pre-order program offered to Microsoft employees and one Zones warehouse ships InfiniTV 4 cards to those Microsoft early-access customers out of order with respect to general orders. To date a few non-Microsoft individuals have been fortunate in being accidentally associated with the Microsoft employee pre-order and have received their cards ahead of normal order sequence. Additionally, Zones occasionally does not honor the in-order shipment process and has shipped out-of-order to a small number of fortunate customers. This is not a conspiracy. It is what we in the old days called an 'accident'. It would be unwise to abandon your place in the queue to re-order through another distributor since all distributors have committed to ship in order, and Ceton is metering out the supply of cards to the distributors so that the three distributors are able to fill orders to a previously negotiated date.

This data is a tabulation of information posted by forum members. None of the official distributors have directly contributed to this data. I have harvested data from public posts in TGB threads as well as Private Messages sent only to me. Some of those posts have contained specific data intended for this purpose; other posts have had relevent data harvested by me for this purpose. Most data including this collation comes from anonymous sources and should be treated with the confidence you should attribute to such sources. I.e. none. That being said I believe this is a true summary of the present Ceton order status of those members reporting data.
Many errors can and will exist. Errors could be caused by deliberate mis-stating of information, transcribing errors, and accidental mis-stating of information. Simple acts such as cancelling and reinstating orders, updating credit cards, and swapping positions in the queue with other members can and have caused the queue positions indicated here to not represent the queue positions in the lists maintained by the distributors. Use this data as a guide for high-level trends; not as evidence that there has been malicious intent to diddle you out of your card when you expected it. Above all, I do not want the data in this list to be used to challenge any of the distributors.
I update the list in this first post of this thread frequently according to the activity reported. During lulls between batches (numbered herein by week number) the list might get updated every 2-3 days; while batches are being processed or shipped I might update the list 1-2 times per day. The utility of the list is proportional to the quantity and accuracy of data reported to me so please report your order and all updates to this list via this thread or by Private Message (PM) to me.

FWIW, I was told the 8/10 delivery date also.
I would suggest that speculative venting should be off topic here (for example - complaining about Zones not having enough cards to fill the early orders before Cannon and Fluid are allowed to ship - until that is known for a fact, it should be considered OT) - that's essentially what got the other thread locked. It's just too difficult to keep it constructive once it starts.
Just to confirm what was said in the Monster, I called The Dead Zone today and was told they were expecting their shipment on Thursday. I talked to a guy named Mike.
Their records have me with a 3/15 order date. He didn't want to say it but from the tone of the discussion I don't think I'll get in on the first order.
I wonder if there will be another wave of Microsoft employees who hit up The Dead Zone and jump ahead again once they hear about the card from their homies.

I was told they are hoping for the delivery tomorrow 8/11, but they did say "don't hold your breath" as the reps are I think getting a bit cynical on the expected dates as well. She could not tell me if I would receive one of the cards, but I may be one of the lucky ones since I ordered the first day.
They were very nice, just can't do much without the cards. They also did say they would expect to turn around all 400 to ship the day they are received.

I just spoke to Zones. I ordered mine March 13th, about 7:00 PM (The first day you could order them). The customer service rep said I potentially will be in the first batch, but Ceton has not confirmed the number of cards arriving. They were supposed to get a shipment today, but there has been "a delay". They are expected now to get them on Thursday. Zones will ship them out the same day they arrive.
Comcast finally shut off all channels unless you have a digital box (a** holes....where's the class action lawsuit for requiring me to pay for a device to access their system??).

My credit card has not yet been charged. I'm wishing I has pre-ordered sooner but I really had very little warning from Comcast before they shut off my analog channels. Received notification during the first week of May and lost all analog channels by mid June.
I ordered Mar-13 from Zones, had my CC information confirmed 2 months ago, but haven't heard anything since. No charge or email.
Not going crazy yet and trusting Ceton to get the cards out when they can. Go Ceton!
