Blackgold have some problems - See here

Thanks Phil. Those issues don't seem too bad - even Hauppage cards experience problems.

With regards to the drivers, I suppose it's possible that their T2 card is the same hardware as the T card, just with a different tuner?

I have been told by BlackGold that pre-release data will be posted on heir web site in the next couple of days.

Good news indeed.  I'm definately on board for at least one of these, but as it seems that T2 tuners are starting to make their way out of the STB market and into the PCI card market, I wonder how long SiliconDust are going to take in getting a T2 ready for us?

If SiliconDust did a S2 HDHomerun for Europe I'd be at the front of the Q! But a T2 model would be brilliant.
Virgin Media V+ Box. I gave up. MCE beat me.

I've had BlackGold tuners since 2006, once they've ironed out the initial problems they've been very reliable. As warrenh says above they do tend to run rather behind schedule, both cards I've had were well late, as was the current card.

I was hoping the T2 card would also have S2 tuners.

i have talked directly with blackgold on the phone ( begining of oct 2010), the t2 cards should be out end of november but only if the component suppliers send the parts in time. failing this the release date is around january/february 2011. that info is directly from the blackgold rep on the phone. watch this space as they will be taking pre orders as soon as they have a more definate answer on the release date.

Thanks, for the info, going by previous release's your probably looking at March next year at least. I was also hoping for a S2/T2 tuners on the same card, so I guess that's not going to happen (for a while) looking at the release above.

Nice for Tony (it was most likely Tony you spoke to) to be more open and honest with the release date info, I've also found Blackgold not to be forth coming with info, or to be over hopeful on release dates and then everybody gets annoyed when they slip.

Don't think there's any point of me getting my wallet out just yet, Kent's not scheduled to get T2 transmissions until 2012, and I'm too far away to receive Crystal Palace Sad

A timetable can be found here

Still would really like SiliconDust to make DVB-S2 and DVB-T2 network tuners. Think they would solve most of my problems!

Windows 7 (x64) Media Center: Core i5 650, 4GB DDR3, 2x Pinnacle 7010ix (2x DVB-S, 2x DVB-T), 2x 2.5" WD 250GB RAID-1, 3x 2TB Samsung 3.5", 2x 1.5TB Samsung 3.5" (all hidden in rack cabinet in garage)* Extender 1: X-box 360 Slim 4GB, 46" Sharp 1080p LCD TV, Logitech Z-5500 Speakers Extender 2: Linksys DMA-2100, cheap 26" LCD! * Replacing old WHS since Microsoft removed Drive Extender and did not include Media Center. SyncToy used to duplicate certain folders and planning to use Acronis True Image for PC backups.

Yes, but would rather have some dedicated separate hardware. I've tried using DVBLogic briefly but the configuration is a real pain in the neck.

Windows 7 (x64) Media Center: Core i5 650, 4GB DDR3, 2x Pinnacle 7010ix (2x DVB-S, 2x DVB-T), 2x 2.5" WD 250GB RAID-1, 3x 2TB Samsung 3.5", 2x 1.5TB Samsung 3.5" (all hidden in rack cabinet in garage)* Extender 1: X-box 360 Slim 4GB, 46" Sharp 1080p LCD TV, Logitech Z-5500 Speakers Extender 2: Linksys DMA-2100, cheap 26" LCD! * Replacing old WHS since Microsoft removed Drive Extender and did not include Media Center. Oh, another another reason is that the HD HomeRuns are far easier to position around the home. If I were to put tuners into my WHS and use DVBLink then I would need to run satellite and aerial feeds into my garage. Whereas with HDHomeRun I could keep current positioned as I have plenty of wired in network points.
