I have been chasing the same problem for over a week. Finally, I removed MS updates: KB2454826 and KB2419640

I now have both live TV and the ability to record. Might try this also. Let us know.

I see the ceto with an ip of 192.168.200.2 but the gateway section is not populated (e.g., no 192.168.200.1 as expected).  My primary network is on 100.100.1.* (and it works fine of course).

Any thoughts on why this is happening?  I've tried release and renew with the same results.

    HTPCwatcher,

This exact same thing just started happening to me. I even ordered another Ceton card to test and the problem still existed.

It's definitely network related for me because I can recreate the issue at will.

If I disable my onboard Atheros network card Media Center immediately picks up the Ceton card.

And loses it again if I enable the on board network card.

The system was running stable for 8 months and all of a sudden this happened.

For now I'm just happy that I can work on the problem and then when I'm tired of wasting my time I can just disable the Network card and get the TV Back.

The Ceton Diagnostics can always see the card regardless, with the nic enabled or disabled.

I have to find my usb wi/fi adapter to see if any network adapter is interfering with the Ceton card or if it’s just my onboard nic.

If the Ceton tuner is missing in WMC and you can't fix it.

Check for this "Error processing device" when running the following :

    C:\Windows\system32>c:\Windows\ehome\ehprivjob.exe /OCURDiscovery
Error processing device 'Ceton InfiniTV PCIe (00-80-38-f4) Tuner 1 (00-00-22-00-00-80-38-f4)', error 0x80070002

The fix for this for me was:

    1. Uninstalling the tuner in device manager and telling it to remove the driver.
    2. Then uninstalling Ceton driver software.
    3. Then re-installing the Ceton driver package fresh.
    4. The tuner should now be working in WMC again.

FYI - Here are what I call normal methods to fix tuner missing in WMC (these didn't work for the above case):
    1. Reset Tuner from WMC Ceton plug in. (Reboot)
    2. Ceton Diag Tool Clear Tuner Configuration (Reboot)
    3. Ceton Diag Tool Disconver Tuners (Reboot)
    4. Computer Management Tasks -> MediaCenterRecoveryTask
    5. Removing Ceton Tuner rebooting, re-insert card rebooting.

I ALSO have a current ticket opened on this (random No tuner available to satisfy your request) . I am testing beta FW to see if it fixes the issue.

The Wi-Fi adapter didn't solve my problem. It's so bizarre that disabling my onboard network adapter works.

So I changed to a different subnet on my router to see if that would solve any type of conflict. (192.168.2.*)

Windows 7 Ask me to select a location again and I selected home network.

The tuner worked so then I switch back to my original 192.168.1.* and everything continued to work.

5 days so far and I haven't lost the Ceton Tuner.

I have to say this isn't much fun. Screwing with card caused the card to need to be re-paired by comcast always fun with their techs.

apparently the data id changes if you boot the M card in a different device then put it back in the original  Ceton card.

But I needed to test it in a new Ceton card to rule out that as a problem.(same problem)

So far so good  I hope changing the network setting is a workaround because rebuilding a beautifully configured system every 6-8 months isn't a good option.

The really strange thing is a clean system image didn't even solve the problem.

I went back 4 months with a system image restore and still the card did not function.

I am having a simular issue over the last week.  On two occasions the tuner drops off and a reboot clears it up.  I have had the Ceton Tuner installed for many months without this issue.  By the sounds of this thread, it looks like the Ceton Install may need to be redone...Any other suggesions?

Hows your beta FW test cming along?

    Hi guys,

I am also getting the random no tuner found error.  I actually have to schedule my PC to reboot every day just so I don't run into this issue and WMC doesn't record (I don't watch TV on the main WMC everyday, but via 360 extender).

    Thanks.
