So I have an old 360 that was purchased February 2006. It died (RROD) a few months ago and I have another arcade and an elite that I use as extenders. I really need a third for my bedroom (wife wants to be able to watch her shows in there). So my question is do I send in my old broke system to get fixed for $99 or do I look for a deal on a new arcade unit ($160 to $170). What are the odds of them sending me a new one? I have heard of that happening to others but I really don't want my old/loud/power hungry 360 back. What do you think?
I recently sent in my elite to get repaired(still there actually), but if it had been one of my older xbox's that don't have HDMI, I probably would have just gotten a new arcade. It's not a ton more, but you get a brand new system, instead of a refurbished one.
Aren't all RROD fixes free?

Thanks for the input. I am leaning toward getting a new one since it would definitely come with HDMI and the more quiet/effecient parts.
