I have had an on going problem with my HTPC I built and have not been able to find a sollution. The problem arises when I try to play some Widescreen DVDs that I have copied onto my hard drive as a VOB file (exact copy). They play as a full screen DVD with letterbox bars on top, bottom, and sides instead of filling in the complete widescreen TV. When I place the same DVD I have copied into the HTPC DVD drive it works fine. I am running the newest version of NVIDIA's PURE VIDEO DECODER PLATINUM and MY MOVIES as its playing off the hard drive the decoder menu shows it as a full screen DVD. I have the decoder set to play the contents default screening but have tried all other options with the same result. I have also tried different decoders including PowerDVD and get the same results. Below I have listed my system components and how I have them hooked up. If someone could help I would greatly appreciate it? I have listed particular DVD's I have had this problem with too.
