Can I just say that anyone who is currently using an S-Video connection should consider the OP's offer. I made my own VGA-to-SCART cable (although as I have an ATI card I didn't need to generate my own composite sync signal) and I noticed a significant improvement in quality over S-Video, and widescreen works much better.
You may still need to use something like Powerstrip to get timings that work for your TV but once set up it works a treat. The additional 5v signal is good for those TVs that "auto-detect" a signal on the SCART input and switch to it automatically.
This is all my opinion of course! BTW cwl999, there was a recent topic from someone who might require such a cable.
Hi there, i'm interested in buying 2 or 3. how much do you think they will cost and when do you think they will be available?
