I've got a new Z560, fresh out of the box, been playing with it for a few days now. It seems to have two different standby modes and the manual doesn't say anything about it.

1) Press the power button on either remote, the video and sound turn off instantly, the power light changes from blue to flashing red, the front panel display and fans stay on. It comes out of this mode in about one second.

2) Press the power button on the front panel. The audio/video outputs turn off instantly, the front panel light blinks red and the display says STANDBY for a few seconds, then goes solid red and the display and fans turn off. It takes several seconds to resume from this mode and seems to pick up where it left off.

I left it in the second mode (solid red light) last night when I went to bed, and in the morning it was on (blue light). I think it had downloaded some windows updates and restarted. 

My question, will the unit wake from this second mode for a scheduled recording, and how do you leave yours when you're not using it?
