Virgin1's guide data says there are programs when there are not and my system tries to record them, i have to cancle several everyday.
If you look at Virgin1+1's guide, it is correct and says there are no programs on between 06:00 - 19:00, taking into account the +1 hour.
Could someone please get this updated and update us, it has been like this since the latest channel change around
thank you in advance
I had this issue too but fixed it with GuideTool and pulled the guide data from another source.
Same question as on your post about Fiver. What TV sources are you using? Are you mixing Freeview with cable or satellite?
Win7 Ultimate RTM x86 | AMD64X2 3600+ | 3Gb Ram | 4Tb HDD | ATI4650 | Hauppauge PVR150 - Virgin Media cable | Peak dual DVB-T - Freeview | Pig ugly big black case | Xbox 360 wired extender | Samsung Omnia 7
Hi Mark,
I have just updated my other post lol
I am using freeview and not mixing sources.
Thanks for the suggestion but could this problem be fixed at the source, as in who is responsible for the guide data.
If you're just using Freeview then the thing I was thinking of isn't the case. I had issues mixing Freeview with cable with channels that have shorter broadcast hours on Freeview than on cable.
To raise an EPG issue the official route is to raise a feedback report using the link in the top right corner of this webpage. Don't expect a quick fix though. Or any feedback.
O.K
Thanks for your reply
I was looking for a different problem where my Virgin1 and Virgin1+1 Freeview EPG data is only 7 days rather than 15 in Windows 7 Media Centre. I am not sure if it is only showing over the air data or downloaded data from BDS, attempts to correct it by re-assigning, which worked for ITV2,3 & 4, have failed. I am sure that I had 15 days only a few weeks ago.
However the Virgin1 Freeview now and next and 7 day EPG as seen on any TV is itself in error and often shows programs that are not there. I just happened to look at 5 AM this morning and the station was shut down but the EPG had listings for programs on during the shut down!!!. The Windows 7 Media Centre EPG used to be more accurate and didn't show them - however see problem above.
This is UK and it is actually 21:14 Saturday here not 9:14 AM as in post time.
