I've just purchased a Z560, have not yet received it. I'd like to have a composite or S-video output for a secondary display. It appears the S-video and composite outputs are no longer available on the Z560 and later models. Does the video card output composite video on the unused VGA pins like some other video cards do? It's supposed to be an NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS, when I look up that card it has composite and S-video jacks. Are the connections for those jacks accessible on the card or is it a special version of the card made just for HP?
Thanks
Just in case anyone else is wondering about this, I was not able to get it to work. The Z560 video card has a cable going to a sub board where the RGB component output jacks are located. The board must have been carried over from the Z55x models because it has a spot for the S-video/composite jacks. I added the jacks and played with the driver settings, but I could not get it to work on composite or S-video.
