I've done something wrong in MC Menu Mender. I'm using Vista 32bit.
I've tried manually restoring the ehres.dll and ehres.dll.mui files from their backups but VMC
still will not launch it says Media Center has stopped working every time I try to open Media Center.
Anything else I need to do to put things back ?
Thanks
EDIT: Never mind, I deleted my custom strip, saved and then was able to get back in to VMC.

Hi, just installed version 0.4.3, and it looks good.
I have removed 'Play all' and the radio buttons as they were useless.
However, a couple of questions before I do serious stuff:
1. I have a "TV & Movies" strip with:
More TV (an installed plugin which doesn't show on the screen because of the next button), Play BD using Arcsoft TMT (an installed application), Recorded TV, DVD Library, Live TV, Guide, Movies Guide, Play DVD, Search, Setup TV.
However, DVD Library and Movies Guide and Setup TV do not appear in my VMC even though they are 'on'. Why not?
2. I have another "TV & Movies" strip with all the above buttons except the first 2, but this whole strip does not appear even though it is 'on'. Why not, and why is it there?
3. I have yet another "TV & Movies" strip with nothing in it. Why is it there?
4. I have a "Sports" strip which is 'on' but does not appear. Why not?
5. I have an "Online media" strip with Program library and Explore as buttons but the explore button does not appear. Why not?
6. Are any of these custom strips? How do you identify them?
Thanks for any help in advance.
Andy
Advent:1. Some menu items are present in the Media Center resources, but are only visible when certain conditions are met. For example, some TV related items are only visible when your computer has a configured TV tuner. DVD Library is only visible when you set a certain registry key. What Menu Mender is doing in these cases is setting where the items would be if they were visible.2 & 3. Similar to above - Media Center will choose to show one of these strips based on the configuration of your computer. There is no way for me to know which, so all are available for modification. You have to work out which one you need to change through trial and error.4. Sports is only available in the US, and with certain other conditions. If you don't meet these conditions, it won't show up.5. I don't know. Media Center has the menu item in its resources, so Menu Mender shows it.6. Custom strips are different because you can delete them - you can only disable the built in strips. To everyone else - I know i've been completely non-responsive for the last few months, but I have been *very* busy with major life events. Hopefully I can be more responsive from now on. I am looking into updating Menu Mender for Windows 7, but initial attempts have been less than successful.
Advent;
Just wanted to say thanks for your application. I use it all the time with Vista and it improves the WAF tremendously.
Can someone confirm for me that Menu Mender 0.4.3 is not compatible with Windows 7 RC (7100)? Also do we have any ETA on the next release? Advent you rock for updating this, I use it all the time. If you need help testing it let me know, I got Windows 7 Media Center setup in Vmware.
