itznfb:also, where is the xml file that contains the location of the PowerDVD.exe?i can only find an xml file that contains the location of the mcrun.exe.
slydog75:Jeremy, it doesn't seem to be doing much when I run the cmd line. Is there supposed to be some sort of acknowledgement? All I get is "Usage: RegisterMCEApp [/u] [/allusers] <appInfo.xml>". I should note that I'm running Vista 32 bit so I had to modify your command to not have the (x86) but other than that I typed it key for key.

You might follow that last path in My Computer and make sure that file exists. You should get "Success" when it works.
So commands are right, you should use it like this....
C:\Windows\ehome\RegisterMCEApp.exe /allusers "C:\Program Files\Mikinhosoft\Media Center Launcher\mcrun.xml"
Note the quotes, in the command line, file or directory names need quotes if there are spaces in them (sometimes but, I needed to) and the swich with the "/u" in it said it was not registered but, it appears to work fine on my machine.
Now if I could only get PowerDVD to startup in full screen mode, life would be good.
It starts up in a window, no matter what setting I check or how it was when I closed it. When a movie starts, it goes to full screen (the only checkbox I can find for full screen is when a video starts).
JeramyBa, thanks for this, I was looking for this !!!!!!

slydog75:Another general question. WHen I put a BluRay in PowerDVD wants to start by itself which screws up this entire process. This only works when I start it through Media Center. How can I keep PowerDVD from starting by itself whenever I put a disc in? I tried killing the services that run in the background from cyberlink (brs.exe and PwrDVDSrv.exe). That worked, but it also seems to keep PowerDVD from resuming where it left off in a movie, which is annoying. Is there a setting I"m not seeing that I can change?
I had the same problem. It's a registry setting you need to change or delete. Sorry, I don't remember the specific registry entry but a Google search of PowerDVD Autorun or something similar to that should turn it up. That's how I found it.

I'm still using it. I've made it work but would like to still see the enhancements that were referred to in earlier posts. One is moving the mouse cursor out of the way. There were a few others I remember being mentioned that I said "oh, that would be nice" but I don't remember off the top of my head without rereading the whole thread.
