For those interested who use mymovies now and are thinking about trying Sagetv.

What benefits will the Sagetv have over media center version?

There are two main advantages that stick out.

    1. Ability to playback native blu ray and dvd movies from sage extenders as well as full codec support no transcoding required.

    2. Ability to complete "theme" the look of the mymovies ui.

    cheers

Nice job Plucky, it looks really good.

The article says that it's a "port" of MyMovies is that true?  It doesn't look like it has the same interface as MyMovies.

     Thanks

It is a true port meaning I am directly able to access the all the information and use it within Sage.

The ui is up to me to design. The screenshots you see is only one of the default themes called "WhiteIce"

there will be another theme released with it called "BluSkye" In which I will recreate a look that looks like media center but won't be an exact copy of the mymovies interface.

Other users will be able to create their own looks/themes for the interface pretty easily all it takes is some images and a couple of lines in a text file (to set font type and colors).

I haven't shared any of the coverflow or "wall"  images and the only image I have shared from the "BluSkye" theme is the one categories view with the text and blur behind it.

Awesome job Plucky! From the screenshots it looks really good! I've been using My Movies since just before Vista was relased with my XP Media Center. I love the collection management app. If Sage supported Cable Card, It would be the last straw, and I would move to Sage since then it would offer what I need such as cable card support, extenders, tuner pools, SageMC, Netflix and Hulu through Playon. Awesome Job keep it comming!Big Smile

Hey all figured I would keep this updated as well as I haven't in a while. The MyMovies port is still chugging along although taking allot longer than I thought :(

Here are some screenshots for the community. The ugly UI sage reputation is going to change rapidly with this and other projects I and others are working on in the near future.

I thing this addin greatly increases sages value to media center users due to MyMovies users being able to come directly over from WMC. If you don't that is fine no need to argue it :)

    cheers
