Cable box  - Scientific Atlanta Explorer 4250 HD

OS- Windows 7

Setup - Cable from wall, to STB to Computer.

I am trying to program my STB remote with Windows 7 Media Center.  I have a Scientific Atlanta 4250 HDC STB.  The ir sensor detected the STB  and whne it ask me to press"0" with the remote, It does not work. Also I tried a manual setup with the codes that was given by Windows media center and the codes are not compatible when I press "1". I can see the TV channel on my computer when it goes through the detection but then it goes awry whne it comes to setting up the IR Blaster.

Does someone know of another set of codes?

How do I kow that my Happauge IR Blaster is working properly?

Is the right on the receiver suppose to turn red (on)?

Any suggestions will be helpful..
