Anybody in the Granada (UK) area experienced this problem? It just happended last week

Over the last week I have noticed that there was no guide data on my Media Center PC for ITV1 (Granada), at first I thought it was a problem with my PC so re scanned the TV signal and setup the guide again but still I had no data. I tried editing the guide to add ITV1 data to the channel but that didn't work wither. So in the end I did a trick that i used a couple of years ago when having guide data problems, In the guide setup I entered my postcode as a London postcode and after a scan the data for ITV1 was back. Some other channels like Film4 have now lost there guide data but I can handle that. It turns out that I am not the only one with the problem.  So far I am not sure who is at fault but it's very annoying when your series records fail due to the data not being available.

Sorry, can't help with Granada, but can confirm that ITV 1  Central (Carlton) is fine for me. Must be a local issue.

same for me no data, anglia region

I wonder if it effects all users in the fault regions? Or a selection of people?

Yip,

   Mines has been missing itv1 guide data twice in the last 2 months, redoing the guide and channel set up helped once, but i'm not convinced that was the cause. The data is still missing at the moment.

Hi Ian, I know SKY TV guide in the UK is also incorrect for about 2 weeks now.

the guide is a fundamental part of Media Center. So its critical that its right

Corey is working on the Sky guide problem, but not sure he knows about ITV1 guide problem.

Yep, I also lost Granada. I eventually rescanned and selected a different transmitted (Saddleworth rather than Winter Hill). The listings came back but I had to change all my scheduled recordings (ok, Corry) - it was originally set to ITV1 but under the Saddleworth transmitter this changed to ITV Granada.

I always get the exact same problem when I scan for channels. Don't know what causes it, but I know how to fix it. Actually, I think it may be caused by the fact that ITV1 is regional I.e. the channel is different depending on from where you scan it. Anyhoo, just go into settings, TV, Guide, Add listings to channel, select ITV1, then go down the list until it appears, select & save out & Voila, there's your guide data.

Good point. I was wondering though why they would have "lost" a working guide listing?

There are still a few channels that this doesn;t work for on Freeview (Smile? I think).

How hard can it be to monitor and make sure the linkage is upto date. Flip, I need a new job, I'd be up for it. :)

I got mine working back with Winter Hill, a couple of channels still seem missing like FTN but who records that anyway :)
