I am having a problem with dexter and sleeper cell. They play great on my PC but when I use the,m on the 360 extender the video is choppy. It seems is losing frames. Is not my network since other videos play perfectly. The same file is used on the PC and the 360 through the extender software. What is showtime doing to their dvd? Are their shows encoded differently?

Here is my setup I my

xbox hardwired to my PC all other movies worked.

The output of the 360 is set up at 720p

Using the latest version of anydvd to decrpt, DVD shrink to from to one vob

Files are encoded at 100 quality on dvd shrink

Using videoredo to convert the vob to dvr-ms

Using latest version of my movies

    Thanks Carlos

You're using a lot of seperate applications there, one of which is probably to blame for the stream that the extender can't handle.  If I were you, I would use the "Open title on DVD" feature of VideeReDo, this will cut out the need for Shrink.  VRD will produce a dialogue showing the various titles on the disc and automatically join the right parts of whichever one you select.

Tried that but it did not work. Is this some type of refresh problem on the 360. no stuttering on the files on my PC

I don't know what else to suggest, I stream everything to my 360 in VideoReDo created dvr-ms files, including 25mbps 1080p content and don't have any issues.  It would be quite simple to determine if this is network related or file related by observing when the stutters occur - are they always in the same places or different each time?  Are you using ththe latest version of VideoReDo (TV Suite 3.x)?

I ruled out any networking issue. I got the latest version of videoredo tvsuite. I encountered the problem only with DVd's of shows(Dexter, Slepper Cell) on Showtime. Got 100 other dvd ripped and they work perfectly.
