XBox 360 Extender Sees Incorrect Muisc Playlists

    Hi

I have VMCE with an Xbox 360 extender.  Initially, I added my music folder as monitored within WMP11 and built a few playlists.  They appeared in MCE and everything was great.  Then, a few months later, I decided I wanted different playlists, so I created a few new ones and deleted the old ones from within WMP.  The old went away and the new stuck, so things seemed good.  But, when I went to the extender, it still showed the old playlists and not the new ones.  When I clicked on each of the playlists (the ones I deleted from WMP), it said they had been deleted.  So, I could see the old playlists but not open them and I couldn't see the newly-created playlists at all.  I did a search for the old playlists on my computer (to see if I could find them and delete them) but the only ones it found were the new (the same ones that wouldn't appear in MCE extender).

One thing to point out; WMP11 and MCE shows everything correctly; new playlists added and old ones gone.  The extender is the thing that is giving me problems.

The only watched folder within the extender is the music folder, so that seems correct.

Any ideas on how to remove old (and deleted) playlists from the extender and add new ones (the same ones that appear in MCE)?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Joe

The extender logs on under a different user name (eg: MCX1). So even though you have everything looking good on the PC (Under your PC user name), you have to copy the library files from one user name to the other for it to look the same on the extender.

    Go to C:\users\PC USER NAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Media Player and copy the following files: CurrentDatabase_360, LocalMLS_0, LocalMLS_1, LocalMLS_2, LocalMLS_3, LocalMLS_4 and wmpfolders to C:\users\MCX1\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Media Player.

Then what you see on the extender will be exactly the same as what you see on the PC. Create a couple of shortcuts from the desktop to these locations to make it easy to do it again.
