Hi,
I use the latest nvidia drivers, and have no problems getting 1080p in Media Center.
Have you gone through the setup for your TV output within Media Center and chosen the resolution you require?

Hi Lar,
you say that you get dll errors now since rolling back the application of the latest drivers - have you used system restore to remove the latest drivers?
When applying any patches like this, I use Acronis True Image to take a copy of my pc prior to application, then if problems occur like this, that can be used to remove any traces of the application - saves a ton of time - but thats all very well in hindsight :-(
So, on the drivers prior to the latest, did you set the resolution as suggested, in MC?
