Due to me not being able to dedicate any time to TV Library for about the last 8 months, I've decided to take the expiry dating off the current version of the addin so that anyone who wants to continue using it "as is" is free to do so for as long as they want.

    You can download it here:

    http://www.digitallivingsolutions.co.uk/downloads/TvLibrary_1_0_0_080329.zip

    or here

http://www.digitallivingsolutions.co.uk/downloads/TvLibrary_1_0_0.zip (which is always the latest copy).

I'm really sorry I've not had the chance to do anything on the app - my day job has been very hectic since Christmas (working long days and weekends, with little free time for anything let alone TV Library!).

    Cheers,
    Andrew

PS The 071231 version expires April 1.

Thanks Andy. This is an awesome app, have you considered putting source up on here so someone else can continue development. I'm just getting into MCML so I really can't do much but I know there are others on this board that would love to help make it better. Either way thanks for removing expiry data, appreciate it.

    Kurt,

My day job is writing applications for Media Center, so unfortunately the source code includes lots of stuff that is commercially sensitive for me. As a result I won't be making the code open source, but I do intend to develop TV Library further, once I get some more time!

    Cheers,
    Andrew

    Excellent. :)

Thanks a lot for that Andy. Really appreciated. Lets hope you'll find time to refine it sometime.

It is so close to perfect. :)

    Kind regards,
    daniel.

I have to agree with the above statement, Ive just started playing with your app in the past week or so and love it.

I would love it if the DVD gallery info was available as I have all my data there already and hope you can get that working.

Even so its great and works fantastic, thank you Andy.

BTW does anyone have a source for some good looking pictures for the main folders, ie (movies, television etc)

Google images is your friend. Search for "movies popcorn" and "tv icon" you will find some good ones. You will need to resize these images to fit. You can use picture viewer to crop jpegs. I have Movies, TV and videocasts as folder. Awesome way to get to all the files.

Hey Andy, i just want to take the opertunity to say thank you from myself also. This is by far the app i use the most in vmc and very thankfull for it. I agree with above statement that this app is almost perfect. Only things i can think of is no need to reg hack on first install (tho its almost automatic now to do it lol), way to update collection manager from inside the plugin (vmc interface), and automaticly puting episode numbers after the episode name but i got that happening to now so really with a few tweeks this app is perfect.......Thx Andy, your a true legend

I got this latest version without expiry and tv collection manager 1.02.
Uninstalled both the older versions and installed newer ones (obviously)
Now when i try to import tv shows in collection manager the little box that lets you pick the right show during the import isnt displaying text, just little squares.
Im at a loss as to why this is happening.

Just installed tvcollection manager 1.01 and it fixed the problem
    Always willing to help.

I didn't draw the folder or the icons, I found the images and chopped/sized them up... I can't even remember where I found the original images :S

I agree that this app, once I found it :), has been almost exactly what I was looking for!!

    I would add:
*episode numbers for sorting to metadata,
*episode icons (especially for shows like mst3k, which are individual movies per episode),
*holding 3 images pointed in the folderdetails.ini - one for banner view, one for dvd covers, and one for episode view.  Once the folder settings button works, then having three images linked in that ini file will be a nice save.  Also, a 'refresh cache' button would be nice so that any changes will show in VMC.
*if there are only 2 or three seasons of a show, and I use covers, it would be nice if those covers would increase in size and show side-by-side.  (Hex, Doctor Who, Torchwood, etc.)

With Doctor Who, seeing the Location and Time from TVDB would be a nicety in the program info box, perhaps an edit to the xml file, perhaps <infobox1>Location: London, 2012</infobox1>, <infobox2>Guest Star: Catherine Tate</infobox2>.

Great program, and I hope you keep up the good work!

    James

PS - adding to folderdetails.ini the year, country of origin, and language for future sorting would be great too... :)

    I have found that the program doesn't like foreign characters like 'n with tilde', ß, ä, ö u, æ, ð, and þ.  I have a question - how do I format the two xml -

       <BroadcastDateTime>2008-04-06T00:00:00.0000000-00:00</BroadcastDateTime>
       <OriginalRunTime>36000000000</OriginalRunTime>

I don't understand the formatting of these two.

    Thanks,

    James

One new feature that would be great - add a "Play All" button to the TV Series and each season, so that I can see all of the episodes in a season, in order, or I can simply watch through the TV Series as a whole.
With this, there might need to be a notation or bookmark of some type ( a "Resume Play" button) so I can resume where I left off after exiting the Media Center or TV Library.

    James
