I have yousee cable, and should get at least TV2SportHD, K5HD. At the moment I do not see any HD channels in VMC, but I have also removed TV pack 2008 by a reinstall.
I will install TV Pack 2008 again (after a backup) and give it a go again.
Will revert with results.

mwallan:no as the 360 does not have h264
Sorry, but have you tested this or are you just saying it?
I know the 360 doesn't play h.264 through the extender interface currently, but in another thread MS have said that the 360 extender is tied in with the OS, so I was wondering if it somehow inherits its codecs from the PC.
Win7 Ultimate RTM x86 | AMD64X2 3600+ | 3Gb Ram | 4Tb HDD | ATI4650 | Hauppauge PVR150 - Virgin Media cable | Peak dual DVB-T - Freeview | Pig ugly big black case | Xbox 360 wired extender | Samsung Omnia 7
Hmm.... Just wondering how long until Chris will make an unfavourable comment about this or if Microsoft will try to pull this.
Having said that this thread has been active for a while, so fair play to them, it seems like they're turning a blind eye to this.
Absolutely superb work. I now have BBC HD (a bit jumpy) but no local (Irish) h.264 dvb-t. I remember trying thr dll from fiji before it died in TV Pack with the same result. This did not bother me at the time as fiji worked perfectly with local h.264. Anyone in Ireland out there who has tried the new dll?. They are all there in DVB-Viewer
Thanks again for all the hard work

I wonder if RTM dll should be unregistered first, then replace with the beta dll and register it. I think it could cause some problems because RTM didn't have H.264 decoding.

I've been watching and waiting for MS to kill this one. After all plenty of their proprietary code has been published in the process, and Media Centre isn't open source. Their ownership of TGB is immaterial to my expectation here.
I guess as the hack has now been made, it's too late to put the lid back on the bottle.
charlas:You have to remember that the DLL is only the codec, if the channel is marked as a H264/AVC1 channel in the channel information in stream then VMC will not add it to the guide, hence you wont be able to get it. There are work arounds using DVB-Viewer that we used on the beta for those services though.
Can you elaborate any further on this, many of us danes can´t get our HD channels to show up inthe guide.
Would be much appreciated, you mentioned dvbviewer, I also have this program, maybe you could direct me to yhis "work around"
