Is there a way to change how the date & time is marked on the file names of recorded media? For example:

    The Hour_CBXT_28_02_2008_22_58_02.dvr-ms

is a file name I have currently, with the date and time in DD/MM/YYYY format. Though this is acurate for my regional and language settings, it's sucks when trying to sort files. I'd prefer YYYY/MM/DD as that'll be the most chronologically accurate listing. Any way to do this specifically?

I would really like to know this too.

I know that you change the recording file names default by creating a registry variable / hack under:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Media Center\Service\Recording

    1. create a new string value called "FileNaming"
    2. set the variables as desired:
    %Ch - Channel Number
    %Cn - Station Name
    %T - Title of show
    %Et - Episode Title
    %Dt - Date and Time
eg - %T %Et %Cn (note this is case sensitive)
My big thing is the date (%Dt).  On my zune the title space is limited so I really don't care about time.  Also, being in the USA, the recorder defaults to DD_MM_YY which always throws me off.  I'd like to rearrange to MM/DD.

    edited to add:
For those people who downloaded MCE Customizer 3.0 and tried to change the default naming convention, this is exactly what it's doing and these are the same variables you need to input. http://www.mcedev.com/

     Hi,

Are you aware of any other variables?
