This error keeps coming up every now and then using my Hauppauge HVR 1600. Everything will work fine in one moment, then I go to change a channel and I get this error, "Viewing or Listening conflict - No tuner available to satisfy the current request" And the only remedy is to redo the TV setup.. Has anyone else come across this error?

Same card, same error.  Using it for QAM.  A restart of media center fixes it for me.  I've also noticed that I only get it when accessing a channel from the guide or mini guide.  If I use ch+- it never happens.

unfortunately, a restart doesn't help. And it seems to happen when I use the channel button.. ahhh beta

I had this happen to me right after installing VirtualCloneDrive. So I went back to a restore point and it has been fine for a week.

 

 

Ugh, now even after redoing my stations and a restore, i still get the same error.. Is there anyway to better diagnose this?

Update: So, it seems to only be affecting LiveTV. Everything records fine, I just can't seem to watch LiveTV anymore..

Same problem here, but with the HVR 1700 Card. Additional to the listening conflict i always get a tuner error at the first LiveTV start after a reboot. Closing Media Center and reopening it helps most of the time. But its annoying. Didn't find any solution yet, so I went back to Vista.

I'm having the same problem with an AverMedia M780.    It also affects my LinkSys DMA2200 Extender with the same error message.

mpjbell:  I wouldn't have believed it, but sure enough, I uninstalled VirtualCloneDrive and got my tuner back.  Thank  you for the investigative lead!

There does seem to be a conflict in Windows 7 between Live TV and Slysoft VirtualCloneDrive.

I am having a similar problem. I get the following error:
Viewing or Listening Conflict
No tuner available to satisfy the current request.

I have windows 7 and dual ati digital tv tuners with cablecards. After restart Media Center will not show any channels. If I unplug both usb cables to the tuners and plug them back in, it starts working. I also found that it will eventually start working if I just leave it alone after reboot for a certain amount of time.

I've got an HVR-1600, and haven't had this problem. It is lowest priority of my 3 QAM tuners though. Maybe that has something to do with it?

I just started getting this after upgrading my video card to a Radeon HD 4830. Has anyone found a solution yet? I even did a clean install of Windows 7 64bit. I was using 32bit before with the same problem.

I have the same issue on both of my windows 7 media centers.  One is running a pvr-500 with hdhomerun and the other is running a pvr-150 with hdhomerun. There is no way of predicting when this error will occur and sometimes it will randomly fix itself after I shutoff the media center for a day.  I have been able to go a couple of weeks without this error, but when I am scheduling recordings, that is when it seems to occur most. 

This problem is driving my crazy.  Otherwise I am loving media center 7 and can't wait to throw vista in the garbage.

Is anyone else still receiving this error. I wasn't getting it for a long time, but now all of a sudden its happening about once a day. The only way I can fix it is if I remove the card and uninstall everything and then Re-install. I'm using the latest version of Windows 7 and this is really getting annoying :)
