I just installed an AverMedia Duet. QAM channels recognized perfectly. Playback flawless. Everything looks like a go. I test recording and it works great and playback looks wonderful.

I go to delete my test recording and I get an error saying the recording is either read-ony or has been moved and I can't delete it.

Anyone else experience this and have solution?

CORRECTION:  I saw this on Win7 RC and was able to workaround this issue by either restarting WMC or by restarting the PC.

It sounds like you're hitting this in Vista (with TV Pack)?

 

I have seen this a few times.  I ussually use process assistan to see what is holding the file.  In my case it was typically Show Analyzer.  You may want to check out process assistant.  Its a free download

Actually running Win7 RC here. I am having a bit of trouble with teh card being recognized after a reboot, but hopefully I can get it working in a bit.

I believe we fixed this issue in Win7 post-RC builds.  I haven't run into this issue on newer builds of Win7.

so it may be combination of Win7 RC and the fact that I have a non-admin w/o a password account that I log into to run my MCE. I think what is happening was that MCE service has the ownership of the file and my normal user is not able to delete it. I when and gave explicit control (r/w) to that folder things behaved as expected adn I was able to remove the files.
