Dual (ATSC/NTSC) Tuners - Analog Disabled

I have a Hauppage 2250 tuner, that has worked great. I could receive Digital and Analog channels - strictly OTA stuff with my rooftop antenna.

When the Digital Conversion happend a few weeks ago, I had to run TV setup to re-scan VMC. Now, the analog tuner no longer shows up at all. It only shows 2 digital tuners (instead of 2 digital/2 analog). This happened when the re-scan downloaded the updated configuration settings (for my zip code).

When trying to "add (analog) channels" the feature is now gone.  I can only "Add Digital Channels".

Anyone with any ideas why this feature has been disabled?  I still use analog cable here, along with OTA low power tv...

    Thanks... Mike

I had a similar problem recently and was able to make it work by manually configuring the tuners isntead of letting MC do it automatically during the TV setup wizard.
Ben How good can it be, if it isn't HD? Engadget HD

I have tried the manual setup method. For example, I tell MC that "cable" is my source, and it says I can set up the Digital Antenna later. Where & How later?? I don't see any options, as it just downloads the guide data and it's done. This is making less sense at every step...
    Thanks for your reply!

I've found the HVR-2250 to be an all digital or all analog solution after the switch, but MCETunerApp might help - link below.

As an FYI, I can't even get FM radio on the card because of digital.  If I switch the card to analog (using cable) the FM comes back.  Redo with digital only and a no go.  There is a MS knowledge base article regarding FM and XP MCE2005, but nothing for Vista.

    After some more experimentation....

I installed Win 7 RC and it works perfect. I can configure both tuners to work OTA with analog and/or digital signals.
    It's definitely a Vista problem.
This must be Microsoft's way of crippling Vista so people are forced to upgrade.... great...
