Media Center does not update in setup wizard
When I get to the point in the wizard after entering my zip code to download the data, it just stalls on the first dot of the progress guage. I let it run all night an never finished.
This ocurrs no matter what tuner card I use. I have tried a Pinnacle 800i and a new purchased Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2250 pci card.
I have tried clearing out the data files in the ehome folder in the ALL USERS folder with no luck.
It appeared to stop downloading guide updates around the 22nd.
Any thoughts on what to try next? I've disabled the firewall and virus protection (Eset NOD32) and that doesn't work. I may try to uninstall and see if that works but I'm at a loss.
I'm on Vista SP1 Premium
HELP!
Thanks in advance.

Re: Media Center does not update in setup wizard
UPDATE:
Turns out my Antivirus (NOD32) or malware (malwarebytes) software was blocking MCE from finishing the wizard and update. Once I uninstalled both programs, MCE finished the wizard with no problems. I reinstalled the AV software and confirmed MCE could still make a connection.
Darn AV programs create havoc even for legit software!
