Hello,

 I am new to Windows Media Centre and to this forum so please point me in the right direction if I'm posting in the wrong place.

I'm runing Vista 32bit and have FFDShow, COREAVC, DIVX 7 pro and HAALI Media Splitter installed. Some of my ripped movies play fine but some play in German and some show subtitles. I want English without subtitles. I am a convert from Mediaportal which played the same movies in English and without subtitles but I couldn't get it to play movies as smoothly as WMC appears to.

Having read several posts on tGB I have tried setting language priority in HAALI, DVD settings under WMC set up and pressing ctrl+shift+A. None have worked.

Can anyone suggest anything else please?

I am considering starting completely from scratch and upgrading to Windows 7, will this help.
