    Mike Hayton/Anyone at MS,

I have had constant crashes for the MCUpdate.exe program since December 24th.  Then again on the 28th, then everyday since then. The guide would still update, but no such luck any more.  The last successful guide data was downloaded on January 7th, a week ago.  I cannot manually download the guide either and now it is asking me to setup the guide again, though this fails as it cannot download anything.  I am running Vista 32 with a Dell XPS 420 with 2 digital cable tuners and an HD Homerun.  No TV Pack is installed.  I have not installed the cumulative updates for June and October, since they screw up back to back recordings, so I hope that's not the only answer.

I have tried to reply to the thread "Help Microsoft" regarding store update manager but it won't allow me to post.

Have you tried deleting the guide DB and rerunning mcupdate?

No, becouse I don't have this file. I can try to delete file and ir with name mcepg1-1*.

The error in event log is this

mcupdate.EXE, version 6.1.1000.18299, timestamp 0x4938d298, module KERNEL32.dll, version 6.0.6001.18000, timestamp 0x4791ada5, exception code 0xe0434f4d,  0x000000000002649d, proccess ID 0xa64, time 0x01c99e493b3c8140. Its modified becouse original text is in czech language.

The problem is only if task is run when no one is loged to system. If i run the task manualy or when I'm logged it works witjhout error.
