Hi, I have the Linksys 2200 media extender. Because the extender only plays mpg and dvr-ms files I have been ripping dvd's and converting them to mpgs (I didn't know how to convert from vob to dvr-ms).

I now can convert VOB to dvr-ms but when I put these dvr-ms files on disk I get a problem.
I can click on the file directly (from the PC) and vmc plays the file fine. However when I use VMC (on the PC) and and choose play nothing happens. I think it is because I have not got the folder structure correct.

I am using the same directory that housed the mpgs. So that I could even find the folder in vmc I had to keep the video_ts.bup, video_ts.ifo files, and MOVIE.wvx (which now points to the dvr-ms file rather than the mpg).

I keep the bitmap of the dvd in the root as folder.jpg so what I have is

    dvd\kids\MOVIENAME\folder.jpg
    and
    dvd\kids\MOVIENAME\video_ts\all above files

Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong .

I posted a response in your other thread that I believe also answers this one.
