I have a DMA2100 and a Linksys WRT610N router. After using it wireless for a few months with frequent disconnects, I ran an ethernet line to my living room and connected the DMA2100 to the router via ethernet. The PC is also connected to the router via ethernet. It's working much better, but the DMA2100 still gets disconnected once every day or 2. How can it get disconnected when it's a wired connection? The router is set to all defaults except for the wireless security, which shouldn't be a factor for a wired connection. All firmware is current. How can I tell if the problem is with the DMA2100, WRT610N or my VMC? Any help is appreciated.

I have seen posts that suggest using a static IP address can smoothe things. If you have a DHCP, reserve the current assigned IP address for the DMA2100 and then use it as the static IP address.
