    Good afternoon, everyone.

Right now I'm a digital cable subscriber in Charlotte, NC. I have two ATI OCUR's with CableCARD's, and I have one tuning adapter (they have so far been uncooperative in sending me a second, despite promising to do so several times...a whole different story). I'm getting a little tired of paying $90 per month for cable service only, especially considering the fact that everything that I watch is either on CBS, ABC, NBC, and FOX (and a couple on CW). I've never tried using the ATI's as ClearQAM tuners, so I'm curious if anyone in the Charlotte area is doing this on Time Warner's Broadcast Cable service (not Basic Cable; broadcast is just the broadcast channels and is only about $14/month).

Are all four of these channels available over ClearQAM with that service level in Charlotte? Can anyone speak from experience?

    Thanks!

Can't you just pull the CableCard's out and check? I'm pretty sure the OCUR's work like a clearQAM/analog tuner then.

You can always check on the SiliconDust server. Here I guesed your zip and this is what you might get...(if you are 28201 zip)

Thanks for the responses; however, what I'm looking for is whether or not it's available with broadcast service, not basic service. I know that the ClearQAM channels are available in Charlotte, but I'm not clear on whether or not what they do to give you broadcast service (which does not have the same analog channels as basic) would also prevent me from getting the ClearQAM channels. Based upon the response from someone on AVSForum, it sounds like the "traps" that are put on the line to limit the lineup also filter all QAM signals, Clear or otherwise.
