Feeling frustrated & stupid. Had Windows XP w/ Media player and was able to master  all aspects.Got a new computer w/ Windows 7 that has the Media Center and I have  yet to be able how to work the music aspect. I did manage to rip a few songs and by chance get them to play. But to find the library, create playlists, I am at a loss. I thought perhaps there was a help icon/button somewhere but could not find one. Is there a site that offer a tutorial or how to? Also I use to be able to download songs from my MP3 player to my computer - can I do that now? Thanks for any information.............

Add the folders containing your music to the 'Music Library'  This can be done in WMP, Explorer, and Media Center.  In media center its under Settings->Manage Libraries (or something similiar).  One point you should know is that MC uses the tags for organization not folder structure.  So if you don't want a big mess of "unknown artists" make sure you music is tagged well.

And if your tags are not that accurate and you like to view music by folders, download the plugin Music Browser. If this is all you need, there is no need to add music to your libraries as Music Browser simply lets you add which folders to view.

It is free and fills in the missing function of sorting music by folder.
