hello i recently uploaded a bunch of videos from my Handycam. To my external hard drive and the problem is i dont have any thumnails just a blue or black box. I have thumbnails on my external hard drive o.k. can any one help Please  thanx

 trying to understand the question.  So on one of your external drives you can see thumbnails but on a different external, you see blue and black boxes?

Yes that is correct on my external hard drive all is well and i have thumb nails. Except when i go to windows media center and access my external hard drive i then have no thumbnails. Thank you for the response Rob

 are you accessing them from the videos section?  fairly sure that the thumbnail represents the first 2-5 secs of the video.  so if the first 2-5 secs is blue or black, thats what you will see.  beyond that i'm not sure, hope you find the answer
